Certain things like politics or sports can lead to people being at odds with one another, but when it comes to fighting cancer, we are all on the same page.
Everyone wants to see the end of cancer in our lifetimes. While the overall incidence of cancer is on the decline, pancreatic cancer incidence and death rates are going in the opposite direction. The disease has a survival rate in the single digits, and more needs to be done to make progress.
The Northern New Jersey Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is holding its Fifth Annual PurpleLight New Jersey at Camp Harmony in Warren on April 30, 2017 at 5 p.m. The event is planned entirely by volunteers, who are looking to change the course for those currently battling this devastating disease.
PurpleLight is a time to honor loved ones fighting pancreatic cancer and those who have lost the fight. Come join us at this free event as we come together and Wage Hope for a very important cause. For more information, or to register go to tinyurl.com/PLightNJ17.
