Less than 2% of wealth managers in the New Jersey area receive this honor from the FIVE STAR Wealth Manager Award Program. Recipients are selected from survey results gathered by Crescendo, and awards are based on client feedback and peer evaluation from a panel of local financial professionals. Clients evaluate wealth managers on customer service, integrity, knowledge and expertise, communication skills, value for fee charged, whether the wealth manager meets client’s financial objectives, post sale service, quality of recommendations, and overall satisfaction. Peer evaluations are based on integrity, knowledge and expertise, and overall reputation.

The Survey was conducted by Crescendo, as an independent third-party research firm. They surveyed 235,000 consumers of the magazine and 34,000 Financial Service Professionals to evaluate the 37,700 candidates in the New Jersey area as the 2011 FIVE STAR Wealth Managers scoring highest in overall satisfaction. The evaluation was based on nine criteria, including customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, recommendations and overall satisfaction. After survey results are tallied they take the top scoring candidates which represent less than 7% of their market and forward to a panel to further review a sample of the selection. Only wealth managers with five years of experience in the financial services industry are considered.

The rating may not be representative of any one client’s experience because the rating reflects an average of all, or a sample of all, of the experiences of the financial advisor’s clients.

The rating is not indicative of the financial advisor’s future performance.

Wealth Managers may or may not use discretion in their practice and therefore may not manage their client’s assets.

Please keep in mind that working with a FIVE STAR Wealth Manager is no guarantee as to the future investment success nor is there any guarantee that the selected Wealth managers will be awarded this accomplishment by Crescendo in the future.

Taxes up, Services down.....At least someone is listening

May 15, 2018

Do you feel as if you are getting good services from the town for what you pay in property taxes? I don’t, and wanted to thank the one Council person who voted NO on this year’s municipal budget which will increase your taxes by more than 3 percent, exceeding the cap.  Thank you, Susan Poage, for listening to taxpayers.

When our Mayor grants raises by executive order ...

Who Is Dmitriy?

Who Is Dmitriy?

That is the question I asked myself in the past year or two. I first chanced across him online in community conversation. When an issue seemed to go nowhere, people starting to get ugly and nasty, personal attacks escalating, in would pop Dmitriy and with one comment, he could sum things up. He based his  opinion on information he knew, coupled with what he could glean ...

The NO vote on the Budget

I read today's letter to the editor from Councilwoman Susan Poage regarding her reasons for voting "no" on the town's 2018 budget. As I attend most meetings of our Township Council, including the one on May 8, I want the public to be aware of some facts that are not contained in Mrs. Poage's letter.

The 2018 Budget development process included public meetings on Feb. 26, ...

Don’t Make These Three Mistakes About Social Security

Social Security has been around for decades and it’s not about to disappear. Why? Social Security is not an entitlement ("gift") that can be taken away - it’s a forced savings scheme that Americans pay into in their working years in order to secure a pension for life. Ideally, Social Security should not be your sole source of income in retirement but even comfortable ...
