I was born and raised in Summit, coming back here six years ago to raise my own family. I currently run the GRACE Project, which I founded through the Junior League.  GRACE provides food and other resources to the more than 20% of Summit residents who battle hunger on a daily basis. Prior to that, I spent 11 years in New York City as an advocate for the homeless.

This past spring, I met Lacey Rzeszowski, the Democratic candidate for New Jersey State Assembly for our district. Lacey came to me to learn more about issues confronting the working poor. She immediately impressed me.

Lacey is one of the rare people who have the strength to go where they are needed, rather than where they have been before. She has a practical world view, using her problem-solving skills in the service of her ideals. She challenges the status quo and is determined to find ways to make her community a better place. She excels at connecting people, and at creating mutual understanding around complex ideas and problems.

It is my belief that these practical qualities are essential in our elected officials. Lacey has the energy, intelligence, and determination to make positive change in our district. I urge you to join me at the polls to vote for Lacey Rzeszowski for General Assembly this November 7th.
