LONG HILL TOWNSHIP, NJ - A fatal motor vehicle crash occurred on June 11, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Long Hill Township Police Chief Michael Mazzeo confirmed in a release on Tuesday.
On June 11, at approximately 4 p.m., the Long Hill Township Police Department was notified of a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred in the area of 342 Valley Road where they determined that two motor vehicles, a car and a motorcycle, had been involved in a motor vehicle crash, the release said.
The operator of the motorcycle, a male, age forty-eight (48), was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing. As such, no additional information will be released at this time, authorities said.
Numerous law enforcement agencies have been involved in this investigation, including the Long Hill Township Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office – Criminal Investigation Section, and the Major Crimes Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
