NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The League of Women Voters (LWV) of Summit, New Providence, and Berkeley Heights will host a program on the Human Trafficking of Underage Teens, January 19 at the DeCorso Community Center in New Providence.

Two years ago, the Township of Berkeley Heights and New Providence passed a resolution making January 11 "Human Trafficking Awareness Day" and, during the month of January, the LWV endeavors to have a program on the topic.

This year, FBI Special Agent Brian Salamone will be the featured presenter, and he will be joined by former teenage survivors of Human Trafficking as part of the presentation. This event, which begins at 7:30 p.m., is co-sponsored by the New Jersey Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
