MADISON, NJ—If you’ve always wanted to speak Italian, here is your chance to learn the basics of one of the most beautiful languages in the world right in your backyard. Healthy Italia – La Buona Cucina, which opened its Italian specialty retail market in March at 55 Main Street in Madison, is offering its first session of Italian Language Classes for adults and children beginning the week of April 25.
Students will study with Italian native Laura Orlando, whose love of the language makes learning fun and interactive. Orlando will teach basic conversation, vocabulary, and responses to everyday events. Students will learn the fundamentals of proper pronunciation, basic grammar, and key Italian words and phrases that are useful when visiting Italy.
All classes will take place in Healthy Italia’s gourmet marketplace, where students will be surrounded by artisan products imported directly from Italy. Marketing Director Lisa Sanderson said “the classes in the arketlace allows the instructor to use the products to help introduce the language. Students will during class to enhance the Italian experience”
Two eight-week sessions for adults are being offered: Mondays 6:30-8 p.m. beginning April 25 or Tuesdays 9:30-11 a.m. beginning April 26.
The eight-week session for children ages 5-10 will be held Mondays beginning April 25 from 4 to 5 p.m.
No classes will be held Monday, May 30.
The eight-week sessions are being offered at a special inaugural price of $180 for adults and $120 for children.
