The Historical Society of Berkeley Heights will open the Littell-Lord Homestead Museum for the 2017 season on Sunday, April 16, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m.
This Homestead was the longest “in-use” farm in Union County. The original house was built in 1760 and occupied until 1975. The site at 29 Horseshoe Rd, just down from the corner of Horseshoe Road and Mountain Avenue, is owned by the Township of Berkeley Heights.
The museum, which is administered by the Historical Society, is open on the third Sunday of the month, from April to September, from 2 to 4 p.m, or by appointment.
