The Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ, a Millburn/Short Hills-based full symphonic community orchestra, comprised mostly of local volunteer musicians, welcomes talented area residents to join us at rehearsals for our 41st season winter concert, “Musique Française” already underway. Openings are available for trumpets and strings, in particular, viola and cello.

The program, to be performed on Sunday afternoon, March 17 at 3:00 PM in the Millburn High School Auditorium, includes Berlioz: Roman Carnival Overture, Op.9;  Fauré: Pavane and Sicilienne; Debussy: Petite Suite; and Bizet: L’Arlesienne Suites 1&2.

Rehearsals are on Monday evenings, from 7:30-10:00 , at the Bauer Community Center, 100 Main Street, Millburn, NJ.  The orchestra’s conductor and artistic director is Michael Stratechuk.
