SUMMIT, NJ - A panel discussion, entitled 'Negotiating in the Gap', will be hosted by AAUW Madison and the Summit College Club on March 2, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The panel will explore the status of pay equity between women and men, and how women can succeed in the current environment using negotiation as a tool.

The evening will include a preview of the AAUW’s award-winning online training program, Work Smart, which teaches women how to negotiate successfully for pay, position and benefits.
Karen Kaplan of Summit College Club said: “We’ve had women tell us that the Work Smart training was literally life-changing, because they felt empowered to advocate for themselves without negative repercussions.” Work Smart is a free tool, available to all women at AAUW.org.

Ms. Chilazi is a Research Fellow at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School whose life’s work is to advance gender equality in the workplace through research and research translation. She operates at the intersection of academia and practice, both conducting research on how organizations can become more inclusive, and bringing those research insights to practitioners through speaking, training and workshops. As an advisor and scholar, Siri frequently collaborates with organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies and leading professional service firms in order to close gender gaps. She has presented at numerous conferences around the world, and her work has appeared in media outlets including Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, BBC, Fast Company, Bloomberg News, and Forbes. Siri has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.A. in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard College.
Professor Mundra is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Rutgers University Newark. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of California, Riverside. She is also a Research fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) Bonn and is a fellow affiliated with the Global Labor Organization. Her research interests are applied econometrics, economics of immigration, labor and demographic economics, gender issues and nonparametric and semiparametric panel data. She has published in International Migration Review, Demography, American Economic Review- Papers and Proceedings, Empirical Economics, Journal of Applied Economics, Review of International Economics, Journal of International Trade and Economic Development, Terrorism and Political Violence, Handbook of Applied Econometrics and Statistical Inferences, and the Frontiers of Economics and Globalization – Migration and Culture, among others. Her research has been cited in the Washington Post, US News, National Public Radio and the Economist.
Lee, a 2018 Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Honoree, is a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) Advocate, Change Enablement Champion, and Business Strategist who works with leading enterprises around the globe to create high-impact and sustainable changes in workplaces and communities. In 2020, Jaclyn founded D-I-C-E Consulting and iHub at D-I-C-E to bring her significant experience and leadership to companies looking to foster an inclusive and engaging culture. Her experience includes key leadership roles with AIG, MassMutual, MetLife, Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, and Evergreen. She currently cochairs the Diversity & Inclusion Committee of the SHRM-NJ Chapter. Jaclyn earned an MS in Management from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and is a certified Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and a Senior Professional with the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP). She completed the Diversity and Inclusion Executive Program for HR professionals at Cornell University in 2020.
