The Governor Livingston High School Science department will host a Saturday Workshop on Nanotechnology. This event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on November 19 in the recently renovated science classrooms. The program is open to interested high school and middle school science teachers. The workshop will feature hands on experiments for teachers to use in their General Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics classrooms as well as highlight the many new and current applications of nanotechnology. The workshop is sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the North Jersey Section of the Teachers Affiliate Group of the American Chemical Society, and Immaculata University. This unique program offered at Governor Livingston provides professional development and networking opportunities for area science teachers and is offered for a $10 registration fee. Lunch, snacks, activities for use with students, and a certificate for 5 hours of professional development will be provided.
