What issues and factors will determine the outcome of the November Congressional Elections?  At their October 5th Meeting, Members of the Old Guard of Summit will have the opportunity to express their views on these questions, the probable outcome of the elections and the consequences of the election results.  Old Guard Members/Attorneys H. W. Caming, W. Kenneth Lindhorst and John Luckstone will guide the discussion.
The discussion is expected to encompass the effects of the economic downturn, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the federal deficit, health care and banking reforms, and myriad other issues.  Commentary is also expected on the widespread resentment of incumbents.  Members will attempt to assess the probable result of the elections and the consequences for the nation.
All age 50-plus active men are invited to attend the Tuesday morning meetings of the Summit Area Old Guard.  Meetings are held at the New Providence Municipal Center, 360 Elkwood Avenue, New Providence.  A coffee hour starts at 9:15 a.m., followed by a 10:00 a.m. business meeting brightened by singing and humor.  The speaker begins at 10:30 a.m.
