Love Cookies? Let the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township do your holiday baking. A much anticipated event of the season, the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township will host its annual Cookie Walk and Christmas Treasure Sale on Saturday, December 9 at 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at 240 Southern Boulevard.

What makes the Cookie Walk unique is that participants can customize their selections from thousands of mouth-watering, homemade cookies. By “taking a walk” around tables laden with trays of delectable goodies, customers have the opportunity to hand-pick favorites to fill an empty container. Part of the fun is to see just how many cookies can be squeezed into each box while still managing to close the lid! Containers cost $7 each.

In addition to delicious cookies, a variety of homemade, hearty soups will be available for purchase for the first time this year. Called “Soup to Soothe Souls,” all proceeds will go directly to the Presbyterian Disaster Relief to soothe the souls of those affected by hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. Soup will be sold frozen in one-quart containers for easy storage and use throughout the holiday season. Containers cost $8 for 1, $7 for 2, and $6 for 3 or more.

For over twenty years, the Cookie Walk has been the premier fundraiser for the Women’s Ministries at PCCT. Over 100 volunteers are involved to bake, cook, coordinate, set up and sell at the event. All proceeds go towards various missions supported by the Church. The Women’s Ministries is proud to serve the church, one another and the local and global communities. By offering a rich diversity of activities, small groups and mission projects, the Women’s Ministries provides ways for women at all stages of life to connect with one another.
