BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – An ordinance to add an unspecified amount of money to the $28 million bond ordinance that provides funding for the Municipal Complex Project is on the Tuesday, June 26, agenda for the Township Council. A copy of the ordinance can be found beginning on page 80 of the agenda here.
A call to the township CFO and Treasurer Michel Marceau on Monday produced no additional information, except a suggestion that TAPinto “speak to a council member,” and the observation that there is “no real information in here,” with “here” being the ordinance.
Councilman Mike D’Aquila, in response to an email that same day, replied, “There will be a full presentation tomorrow explaining everything.” D’Aquila was out of town on Monday.
Previously, the council assured residents the cost of the project would not exceed the $28 million bond ordinance adopted in October of 2017 to provide funding to the project.
Also on tonight’s agenda is a resolution conditionally designating Epic Management, Inc. as redeveloper of the project.
