BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - To welcome the new season, Primrose School of Berkeley Heights staff and students created spring-themed hats and participated in colorful activities throughout the week, culminating in a fun school-wide Spring Parade. Each team marched to music and displayed their beautiful creations to the other classrooms.
Each classroom displayed its own vibrant spring poster as they paraded their imaginative and colorful hat creations. The school's creative teachers prepared for the event by providing students with a variety of materials including Easter grass, colorful foam stickers, plastic bugs and butterflies, googly eyes, felt, flowers, pipe cleaners, construction paper and more. Upon introducing the activity and materials, the students then let their imaginations soar.
The Early Preschool (2yr – 3yr) classroom teachers came up with an extremely creative plan. After a brainstorming session with their students, the EPS team incorporated many of the students' ideas to create a “Disney meets Spring” theme for this event. The class created hula skirts and flower crowns with Mickey ears.
The Toddler (under 2yr) and Early Preschool 1 teachers coordinated the activities in their classroom and students each designed their own Spring Garden hats. Each student used their creativity and made their own decision for the placement of materials, ultimately creating a Spring Garden Masterpiece.
