There are many benefits a Yoga Practice can bring to our young people. Research shows yoga helps improve posture, builds strength, increases flexibility (which is great for young athletes), improves concentration, decision making and helps foster a positive body image. Providence! Integrated Health and Fitness is pleased to announce our new Yoga Program for Teens and Tweens.
Starting on February 13th, 2017 Yoga for Teens is scheduled on Mondays from 4:00 to 4:45pm. The age for this group is 13 to 16 years. Our instructor, Laura Donath O’Brien brings over 10 years of experience teaching yoga to this age group and understands how to share her love of yoga with authenticity so teens will relate.
Starting on February 15, 2017, Yoga for Tweens is scheduled for Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:15pm. The age for this group is 9 or 10 to 13 years. Christina D’Onofrio will instruct the tweens and is passionate about teaching students of all ages. Christina was a martial arts character development instructor for over 15 years and transferred that passion to teaching yoga.
These programs are for six weeks and will continue throughout the year.
