NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - On February 25 at approximately 3:50 a.m., a Radcliff Drive resident reported that several individuals were seen an hour prior in the driveway attempting to enter their vehicles.  At 7:19 a.m., a resident of Mee Lane reported that a Honda Accord was taken from the driveway.  A short time later, a Fairview Avenue resident reported that a Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from the driveway.  With the assistance of the Westfield Police and Newark Police Departments, New Providence Officers recovered the two vehicles parked, unoccupied in Newark by 9:30 a.m.  Through investigation, it was determined that these incidents occurred between 2:50 a.m. and 3:10 a.m.  Officers also took reports of motor vehicle burglaries on Central Avenue and Magnolia Drive that may have taken place during this time frame.  If any resident in these areas have surveillance video that may be helpful for this investigation or witnessed anything suspicious is requested to contact the Detective Bureau at 908-665-1111.
