BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. - There's still time to register for the Heights Baseball School which will be held at Columbia Park.

Boys may sign up for one or two weeks of the school, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Columbia Park.

  • Week One runs from July 5 through July 8. The rain date is any day of Week 2.
  • Week Two runs from July 18 through July 21, with a rain date of July 22.

The cost is $180 for one week; $320 for both weeks, before June 27; $190 and $330 after that date. Ask Coach Roof about a sibling discount.

Governor Livingston Head Varsity Baseball Coach Chris Roof will direct the school, which is in its 20th year.  The school provides training for aspiring young baseball players and is geared towards boys entering grades 1 through 9 and includes:

  • Batting mechanics
  • Pitching mechanics
  • Individual Position play
  • Base running
  • Instructional and competitive games

Participants are asked to bring their own glove and helmet and may bring a bat if they have one. They should also bring a drink and a snack.
