BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Mike Del Duca, manager of the Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate office in New Providence and a member of the Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights since 2006, has been honored for his dedication to the club's Medic-Alert program.

The Medic-Alert program for solo seniors in Berkeley Heights and New Providence provides a neck-worn pendant and matching telephone that will call the wearer's local police dispatch in the event of a fall or other significant accident while at home. Over 200 residents in the two towns are provided with Medic-Alert systems, which require both initial installation and wearer instructions, and annual check-ups and maintenance. Almost single-handedly, Mr. Del Duca has spearheaded and maintained this initiative for the past ten consecutive years.

The Paul Harris Fellowship chosen by the Rotary Club to honor him recognizes $1,000 contributed to The Rotary Foundation--a 501(c)(3) with 100% and Four-Star ratings by CharityNavigator) in Mr. Del Duca's name.
