The Parekhs were the owners of the liquor store at Kings in Berkeley Heights since 1992. Since its closing in March 2013, they had been in search of finding a new property to reopen a Berkeley Heights store. They purchased the property at 440 Springfield Avenue and opened in February after making the necessary renovations to the space that was formerly Pete's Place Restaurant at Yogoccino.

Owning six stores, three in New Jersey (including the Kings Fine Wines and Spirits in Summit) and three in Maryland, the Parekhs pride themselves on their pricing, customer service and community outreach.

The downstairs catering space will be available for public rental for events and private parties. Contact (908) 473-9921 for availability and rates.
