BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Situated on Springfield Avenue in Berkeley Heights, Sami's Land and Sea celebrated its official Grand Opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Dec. 17.
Members of the Berkeley Heights Township Council and Suburban Chamber and Tri-County Chamber of Commerce, Berkeley Heights Mayor Joe Bruno and Mayor-elect Bob Woodruff were among the guests that attended the Grand Opening.
Owner and Chef Sami Eldiesyawe — formerly the chef at Ponte Vecchio in New Providence — has created a New American Cuisine menu filled with a variety of dishes that are sure to satisfy a wide range of appetites and preferences -- each dish prepared with a contemporary, creative twist – with a focus on freshness and quality.
After the ceremonious ribbon cutting and the Mayor's official welcome to Berkeley Heights, the guests experienced a tasting of Sami's New American Cuisine menu. The evening's menu featured Crab Bisque, Oyster Rockefeller, House Made Pasta, Panko Fried Shrimp, Stuffed Mushrooms and Lamb Chops. Sami's menu also embraces the “farm to table” concept, featuring fresh goods from local vendors.
"As word gets out of our new culinary treasure in downtown Berkeley Heights, I have no doubt, Sami's will become one of New Jersey's top fine dining destinations," said Council President Jeanne Kingsley.
"The menu is something different than you will find with the competition in this area,” said Eldiesyawe.
