Sarah Hart, Grammy-Nominated Singer, Coming to Short Hills

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Sarah Hart will perform in the “Waiting for the Light” concert at St. Rose of Lima Academy Auditorium on Friday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m.  She will be joined by band Full Armor.

“Waiting for the Light” is an Advent evening of music and fellowship for adults. The concert is café-style with appetizers and beverages.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Devine Center at St. Rose of Lima Church located at 52 Short Hills Avenue, or by phone at 973-376-1960.  Doors open at 7 p.m. for fellowship and the concert starts at 8 p.m.  Space is limited, so early reservations are encouraged.

Sarah Hart is an award-winning songwriter who was nominated last year for a Grammy Award for Gospel Song of the Year for her recording of the Amy Grant hit, “Better than a Hallelujah.”  Her “Waiting for the Light” concert features original selections specifically chosen for the Advent season, including selections from her just-released album, “This Winter’s Eve.”

Hart will also lead “Daughters of God,” a morning of reflection for women, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the day of the concert. This morning event is sponsored by the St. Rose of Lima Ladies Auxiliary, and incorporates music, reflection and discussion as she explores our connection to the women of scripture.  This retreat is free and open to the public.  There will be a $10 charge for an optional lunch following the event.  For more information, please email SRLAdventRetreat@gmail.com.
