NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - A very significant element of Scouting is imbibing values of citizenship and community service. Troop 368 Scouts manned tables and helped donors at the American Red Cross Blood Drive on Black Friday at the NJ Sharing Network in New Providence, doing their civic duty and contributing their bit to saving lives.

Scouting is not limited to outdoor activities, it embraces STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) principles in many of its programs. In the last few weeks, the Scouts of Troop 368 met with a member of the Union County Bomb Squad who demonstrated the equipment used in crisis situations, including a bomb diffusing robot.  In a unique and safe display of how law enforcement protects the community, Scouts learned more about the mechanics of these modern technologies.

For more information about Troop 368, come by the Open House event on December 13 (7:30-9:00pm) at the Mountain Park School gym.
