BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - This Saturday is Small Business Saturday, a day set aside since 2010 between Black Friday and Cyber Monday to encourage shoppers to spend their holiday money at local mom-and-pop stores. Berkeley Heights is home to many restaurants, spas, salons, service oriented businesses and many other merchants.
"When you shop small at independent, locally owned businesses, 52% of what you spend stays right in your community, supporting local organizations and services," as stated on the Shop Small Neighborhoods website.
Because this day was created by American Express, the credit card company is offering a $10 statement credit to people when they use their card to purchase $10 or more at qualifying small business locations. Click here for participating shops in your community.
Shopping at small businesses wherever one lives supports the local economy and local businesses who give back so much to our communities. Healthy business leads to healthy community. Support the local on Small Business Saturday.
