BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - A Preschool and Kindergarten Graduation Celebration was held on Saturday for the students at Primrose School of Berkeley Heights at the Woodruff Elementary School for close to 50 students  who will be advancing to kindergarten and first grade in the fall!

As the graduates walked down the aisle in full cap and gown, the audience of 200 adoring family members and friends beamed with adoration and pride -- and of course had their cameras focused and a tissue in hand.

"You were creative in the most pure form -- you learned new things out of curiosity and the love of learning," said Karol Molina, Director of Education.

For the teachers, graduation day is bittersweet, said Pre-K Teacher Colleen Marshall. "We have celebrated new babies and new homes and introduced us to family members. These children continue to inspire us. Their enthusiasm was and is infectious."

The children entertained their families and friends with a wonderful show. The pre-k students took center stage with a fun musical number -- singing and dancing to Chicka Chicka Boom Boom -- and the kindergarten class performed a personalized rendition of Taylor Swift's "Shake it Off" and switched the words to "In first grade, it's going to be all right."

Kindergarten Teacher Michelle Boise spoke of all the academic accomplishments of the students that include: reading, writing and counting, in addition to learning over 100 new sight words and countless addition and subtraction problems and telling time, to name a few.

"The children have come to realize that they have the power to change the world," said Boise. "They have demonstrated kindness, creativity and enthusiasm of learning. All characteristics of life long learners."

The graduates marched out to "Best Day of My Life," ready for the next stage of their education.

"When I reflect upon the event that just transpired and look at this room full of families that are here -- I can't help but feel immense gratitude for all of these wonderful things happening here today," said Amina Gunaratne, Franchise Owner.

A cookie and punch reception was held at the end of the ceremony with lots of smiles to go around!
