Springfield Avenue Water Main Replacement To Begin April 25

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - New Jersey American Water will replace approximately 8,800 feet of 12 inch water main pipes along Springfield Avenue in Berkeley Heights beginning Monday, April 25. 

New Jersey American Water will be initiating the main work near Berkeley Plaza on April 25 at the west end and will end in New Providence at Central Avenue around mid-June. The construction crew will work between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Traffic contros devices will start being set up before 9 p.m.

Two way traffic will continue while work is being performed and police will be at the site directing traffic. Business access will be maintained through the lane cones.  

Motorists are reminded to slow down and follow detour signs when driving through the construction area.
