The Student Auxiliary club at Governor Livingston High School held a packing day for Operation Shoebox N.J. Students and volunteers picked up nearly 400 care packages to send to New Jersey service personnel currently serving overseas. This extensive project was tackled by a very active service club at the school under the guidance of Phyllis Heuss, Family and Consumer Science teacher at GL.
The next project planned by the club is a bike collection with Pedals 4 Progress to be held on April 30. These used bikes are sent to impoverished countries to help people with no other form of transportation. They use these bikes to get to jobs, the doctor, school and the
market. If you have a bike you wish to donate, come to GL on Saturday April 30, between 10-4:00.
