SUMMIT, NJ - On Thursday night, Dec. 13, business people from New Providence, Berkeley Heights and Summit attended the Suburban Chamber of Commerce’s annual Holiday Party at the Bouras building in Summit.
The event was catered by Marco Polo, a restaurant in Summit, and Summit Mayor Ellen Dickson stopped by, as well. Chamber of Commerce Chair John Rosellini, Jr. said it’s usually a well-attended event where people network and have fun.
“It’s a good business exchange as well as time for good wishes for the new year,” he said.
One of the newer members is dentist Mariam Vaziri, the owner of Summit Smiles L.L.C. She opened in June after relocating from Boston and has really enjoyed her experience so far.
While she is originally from Warren, the transition back was a bit difficult at first, she said. But, being closer to family is nice and business has been good as well, Vaziri said.
“It’s growing by the day,” she said, referring to her amount of patients.
For the last three years the party has taken place at the Bouras building on Deforest Avenue. Kassandra Romas, who has been the managing director of the property for 12 years, volunteered to hold the event and said it’s been a great venue for it.
“I think it’s a very festive party and there is a wonderful sense of camaraderie between our guests today,” Romas said.
