On May 24, 2017, the Togetherhood Committee of the Summit YMCA and the Summit Free Public Library are providing an educational and informative workshop for authors and writers in Summit to learn how to write and self-publish their stories, led by guest speaker and publisher, Henry Quinlan.

The Togetherhood Committee of the Summit YMCA is comprised by Summit YMCA members who have come together to give back to the community and support their neighbors. The Summit Area YMCA established this volunteer initiative to identify community needs and facilitate volunteer opportunities in senior outreach, cultural engagement, and special projects that make our community vibrant and exciting.

As a cause-driven, volunteer-led organization, the Y strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of every individual, providing everyone in the community with opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive. In lieu of this, the Summit YMCA and Summit Free Public Library, a center that promotes social gatherings, exchange of ideas, knowledge, and more, have teamed up to provide the community with this workshop where individuals can learn to share their personal experience and creativity with the world.
