SUMMIT, NJ - Alliance Repertory Theatre Company will present "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea," John Patrick Stanley's moving drama of lust, love and the need for human connection, beginning March 3 at MONDO.
Directed by Michael Driscoll, the story begins in a seedy, desolate bar where the audience meets Danny and Roberta, two damaged souls with secrets to share. Both seek solace and redemption as their night turns into morning. Will they find it, or will their lives continue downhill?
The play's cast includes Katie Housley as Roberta and Chris Clark as Danny. “I am thrilled with my cast on this show and look forward to presenting this earlier work from the author of 'Moonstruck' to our audiences,” said Driscoll. This production is staged managed by Christine Gaden with lighting designed by Ed Person.
“Danny and the Deep Blue Sea” runs March 3 - 18 on Friday and Saturday evenings, with performances starting at 8 p.m. There is also a Thursday show, March 9, also beginning at 8 p.m.
Producers are offering an 'Early Bird Special' through February 18 with adult tickets -- normally $27 -- priced at $19. The play features adult language and situations with those under the age of 18 admitted only if accompanied by an adult.
