SUMMIT, NJ - Nature's beauty will serve as a natural cathedral when the United Methodist Church of Summit host 'Praying Psalms in Nature' June 25 at Summit's Briant Park.
Beginning at 112:30 p.m., the family-friendly and multi-generational event will see groups of various paces formed and stroll the park, reflecting on nature-inspired Psalms. Those wishing to participate are requested to meet at the Gazebo to start the walk along the wide and meandering path.
Previous walks were enjoyed by all ages, and all paces, making restful stops as needed along the one-mile loop. The Church will provide printed psalms for those wishing for a more individual time of reflection.
Attendees may bring a picnic lunch, chairs, a blanket, their family and friends, as the the Church seeks to grow this event and encourage wider community participation.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for a later date.
