The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program at Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights offers unique opportunities to high school students, especially the hearing impaired. Students from other districts take the bus to GL for classes designed to meet their needs every day.
The program also has an American Sign Language Club that is open to all students to learn sign language and communicate with their deaf and hard of hearing peers. These are great opportunities for everyone in the program, and all of the staff members and students are great. I would like to raise awareness of this program so that even more students can be helped.
