BRIC (Basking Ridge Indian Community) is to celebrate the colorful festival of Holi on Sunday, April 9th at Oak Street Elementary School. The day will be marked by cultural programs presented by children and adults, and will culminate with everyone coloring each other with dry colored powder.
Holi is one of the most awaited festivals amongst Indians as it not only marks the beginning of spring but also fills everyone's hearts with the joy of colors. The festival is celebrated with a lot of joy and vigor by people of all ages and communities and has been instrumental in bridging the gap between generations.
The cultural program starts at 10:15 and is expected to last till 12:30 followed by lunch. Everyone will then move to a designated area outside to play with colors.
