Two People Rescued From Overturned Vehicle in Berkeley Heights

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Berkeley Heights Fire Department and Rescue Squad responded to an overturned vehicle with two females trapped Friday afternoon at about 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of McMane and Glenside avenues in Berkeley Heights.

BHFD Squad-1 arrived to the scene within 9 minutes. Firefighters stabilized the car, then one firefighter was placed in the car to cover the driver with a blanket while the windshield was removed. After the windshield was removed both victims were removed from the vehicle.

The driver sustained an injury to her hand. Both were treated at the scene by the Berkeley Heights Volunteer Rescue Squad, then transported to Overlook Hospital.
