UNION COUNTY, NJ - Union County Police Briefs:

Clark, NJ – On Monday, August 8, at approximately 1:45 p.m. while working in an Undercover capacity Union County Police Officer’s Det. Andrew Klein, P.O Dino Capra and P.O Deanna Lynn conducted a motor vehicle stop on the Garden State Parkway near mile post 135.9 southbound. The officer’s stopped a black Kia Optima that had committed a traffic violation while entering the parkway from Central Avenue. The driver Joey A. Nemati, a 20 year old male from Holmdel NJ, had in his possession CDS (Heroin & Crack Cocaine), Drug Paraphernalia and a hypodermic needle. The passenger in the vehicle Liam C. Palma-Simoncek, a 21 year old male from Red Bank NJ, was also arrested after being found to have in his possession CDS (Heroin) and Drug Paraphernalia. Both men were arrested and transported to Union County Police headquarters were they were processed and issued criminal complaints. Both men were released on their own recognizance pending their court date.

Roselle, NJ – On Wednesday, August 10, while on routine patrol in the area of St. Georges Avenue, Union County Police Officer Robert Garrison conducted a motor vehicle stop for a vehicle being operated carelessly and at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was being operated by Andres Molina, a 26 year old male from Elizabeth N.J. The driver was arrested after he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Molina was transported to Union County Police Headquarters for processing and received his summons. He was then released to family members pending his court date.
