BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Christina Lewis, Union County Rutgers Master Gardner, invites the public to attend a Seed Swap event at the Berkeley Heights Public Library Media Room on Thursday, March 3 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to noon. This event is for anyone interested in swapping extra seeds or give away extra seeds.

Lewis will be discussing the differences between non-GMO, biodiverse, heirloom, hybrid and organic seeds. She will also demonstrate seed-starting tips and techniques.

Lewis is a member of the Berkeley Heights Environmental Commission and is seeking additional volunteers to join the Community Garden Subcommittee to help move the community garden initiative forward.  The Environmental Commission has found a site and has the funds needed to build the garden but not enough people to help run it.
