BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Relay for Life Executive Committee held its first ever Relay Rave to invite anyone interested in Relay to join forces with them Tuesday evening in the Gov. Livingston Media Center with a reception and information session.
Following a meet and greet reception, the group of volunteers, comprised of mostly students, had the opportunity to learn about Relay for Life and ask members of the Executive Committee questions about fundraising and event specifics.
Relay for Life is scheduled for May 21-22, 2016 at the Watchung Reservation Loop Playground. With 42 teams already registered, co-Chairs Patti Broccoli and James Finley are optimistic on the outlook for an extraordinary 2016 event.
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a life-changing community event that celebrates the lives of survivors who have battled cancer, honor the caregivers, remember the loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.
Volunteers have the opportunity to sign up and participate either as part of the event committee, form a team, participate as a survivor or caregiver, and support other Relay participants.
