BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – The Master Plan Review meeting scheduled for tomorrow night has been moved to Thursday, Aug. 10, Township Administrator John Bussiculo said today.
The meeting conflicted with the Summer Concert at Memorial Field, he said.
The first Master Plan Review meeting will be held on Saturday, Aug. 5, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Town Hall, 29 Park Ave. The rescheduled meeting will be held from 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 10, at Town Hall and is scheduled to end at 9 p.m.
These informal, open house type meetings are being held so residents will have an opportunity to review the Master Plan, ask questions of Township Planner Mike Mistretta on the plan and offer written recommendations on relevant land use issues in the township.
To find out more, visit the Township Website and, on the left side there will be a MASTER PLAN button. Click on this button and it will take you to an explanation of what the plan is and what it does, as well as a contact list with the groups which have already provided input on the plan.
Every ten years the state requires communities to revise and update their master plans, so that process has been going on in the township for several months. Various township groups have already reviewed the Master Plan and made suggestions, now it’s the public’s turn. Everyone who lives, works or owns a business in town is welcome to attend one or both of these meetings.
Those who cannot attend the meeting can send questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
