Wharton Music Center alumnus William Apicella has been accepted to the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. William begins his studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art this September. A versatile performer, William excelled in dance, drama, and musical theater throughout high school. He appeared in numerous productions at Wharton Music Center including Thoroughly Modern Millie, Little Shop of Horrors, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. As a student of Michelle Oram for over ten years, William studied both dance and voice at Wharton Music Center and sang in WMC’s Cabaret. He also performed in the Contemporary Dance Theater concerts as a soloist and in ensembles and practiced his craft singing at WMC open mics.

At Governor Livingston High School, he performed in many productions including Noises Off, A Comedy of Errors, and And Then There Were None. William attended the Union County Academy for the Performing Arts as a dance major.

A very talented and enthusiastic performer, William declares, “I've never had an acting class that wasn't really just a rehearsal for a final show. The best way I've learned is from being in and watching shows. My favorite shows at Wharton Music Center were Little Shop of Horrors and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.”
