Wharton Music Center (WMC) holds its annual vocal performance Vocal Extravaganza under the direction of Angela Beaton, Director of Musical Theater, on Wednesday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Wharton Music Center located at 60 Locust Avenue in Berkeley Heights. The performance will feature the Advanced Cabaret Singers and Broadway Voice students of WMC vocal faculty Angela Beaton and Joe D’Angio. Tickets are available at the door or in advance by calling 908 790-0700: Adults $10 and Seniors and Students $5.

Ensemble songs and duets include songs from Mamma Mia, Home by Phillip Phillips and songs from musical theater productions Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, The Secret Garden, and Beauty and the Beast. The vocalists will exhibit a broad range of vocal styles from pop, soul, alternative, Disney, and musical theater.

Prior to joining WMC, Ms. Beaton served as Director of Drama and Musical Theater for the Allegra School of Music and Arts summer camps where she directed and choreographed multiple shows. Internationally, Ms. Beaton performed and taught at the Franco-American Vocal Academy in Perigueux, France. Ms. Beaton holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with honors from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. She also studied at Mannes School of Music in New York City and is a Kindermusik certified instructor. Ms. Beaton received the New Jersey Governor’s Award for Excellence in Vocal Music.
