To the Editor: There is a park on Park Avenue which was dedicated as "Bicentennial Park". Some people and the DPW took it upon themselves to put the 9/11 Memorial there without doing research and to correct this error, the TC changed the name of the park to 9/11.
Notice how well maintained the other parks in town are compared to the Memorial to the veterans. Mr. Romankow, past mayors and several citizens are doing the job the town is responsible for and running into roadblocks.
How could the town have money for the other parks and want the Memorial Committee to raise maintenence funds for 20 years? I guess the price of freedom doesn't mean much to these people.
