UNION, NJ - Gov. Livingston High School brought home three runner-up championships in the highly competitive Union County Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 14 at Union High School.

In the Championship round, Quinn Haddad (170 lb) was defeated by Cranford's Vince Concina in an 11-4 decision; Turner Haddad (195 lbs) was defeated by top seeded Jack Miller of Westfield, 3-2 150; and Dan Tomlinson (285 lbs) was defeated by Alex Esposito of Cranford in a 3-1 decision.

Anthony Santigate defeated Scotch Plains-Fanwood's Jack Cannon in a 2-0 decision to grab third place. James Snyder (145 lbs) lost to Cranford's AJ Bencivenga for a fourth place finish.

Cranford, who crowned five individual champions, took home the team championship title with 248 points; Roselle Park placed second, Westfield third and Rahway placed fourth.

Participating schools in the tournament were: A.L. Johnson (Clark), Cranford, David Brearley (Kenilworth), Dayton, Elizabeth, Gov. Livingston, New Providence, Linden, Plainfield, Rahway, Roselle Park, Scotch Plains-Fanwood, Union, and Westfield.
