Barbershop Breakout… Can they Escape the Room?

Hickory Tree Chorus will present its annual show, Barbershop Breakout… Can they Escape the Room? — at West Morris Mendham High School on November 18, 2017 with special guests, Lustre Sweet Adelines International 2018 Queens of Harmony!  Also appearing will be Take Note!,  HTC’s own quartet and Drive!,  2015 Greater NY Region 15 Second Place medalists featuring baritone Patty Danner, Mendham H.S. Faculty. The show will also feature Ms. Danner’s student singers from Mendham H.S.

One performance will be held at West Morris Mendham High School — 65 E Main St Mendham, NJ 07945 at 3:00.  Advanced tickets are available online at hickorytreechorus.org through Nov 15 for $20 adults/$15 for students.  After that any remaining tickets will be available at the door for an additional $5/ticket.

About The Hickory Tree Chorus Chapter of Sweet Adelines International

The Hickory Tree Chorus, an award-winning chapter of Sweet Adelines International, performs fun-filled popular music in four-part a cappella harmony, barbershop style.  Much of its repertoire is arranged by Master Music Arranger and Master Director, Carolyn Schmidt.  The chorus performs regularly, competes annually, and awards an annual college scholarship.

The women’s chorus was founded 1968 in the Hickory Tree section of Chatham Township, NJ and currently rehearses in Stirling, NJ.  Members hail from many backgrounds and communities in New Jersey and Staten Island.  Rehearsals are open to guests, and auditions are held year ‘round.
Sweet Adelines International is one of the world’s largest singing organizations for women with nearly 23,000 members singing in some 500 choruses and 1,200 quartets. The organization is committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education, competition and performance, providing members with extraordinary opportunities for musical and personal growth.
