Berkeley Heights Summer Concerts in the Park Kick Off Wednesday

Get your summer vibration on this Wednesday as the Summer Concert in the Park Series kicks off with Parrot Beach with the sounds of Jimmy Buffet.

Memorial Park will be transformed into Margaritaville for the first of the four concert series on Wednesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Bring the whole family and don’t forget the blankets and lawn chairs—the corner of Park and Plainfield avenues will be the place to be this summer.

The BH Special Events Committee is excited to present the 2019 Free Summer Concerts series, along with tons of activities to go along with the concerts. Free drawings for gift cards, the TAPinto family photo contest and free popcorn and water will be just a few of the many highlights of this season’s concert series. The Grain & Cane Gastrotruck will also provide food to purchase for concert-goers, 

This year’s concert series season sponsors include Berkeley Aquatic Club, BH Rotary Club, Embassy Suites/Grain & Cane, Smith Chiropractic Foundation and Taylor Rental.

Concerts are scheduled for the following Wednesday evenings:

  • July 24 Parrot Beach -- sounds of Jimmy Buffet sponsored by Peak Medical
  • July 31 Idol Kings - Best of Tom Petty, John Cougar Mellencamp and others sponsored by Pearly Whites and eMedical.
  • August 7 52nd Street Band - Billy Joel Tribute Band. 2nd Annual First Responders Night in conjunction with BHPD, BHFD, and BHVRS. Sponsored by Anything Floral, eMedical, Excel Physical Therapy, Delicious Heights, Rita's Ice, BH YMCA. Night includes free food and activities including Celebrity Dunk Tank.
  • August 14 - Day Trippers - Best of Beatles featuring local talent and GLHS graduates. Sponsored by Primrose School of Berkeley Heights.
