Chatham Township Church to Host Service of Remembrance

The Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township is hosting its annual candlelight Service of Remembrance to honor loved ones who have passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at 7:30 pm.  The service will be held in Halldorson Hall at 240 Southern Blvd., Chatham Township, and is open to the public.

“The holiday season can be an especially painful time for people who have experienced the loss of a family member or friend,” says Rev. Tom Brown, Associate Pastor of the Church. “The Service of Remembrance provides an opportunity for us to acknowledge our sadness and recognize that they we are not alone in our feelings of grief.”

The service will include music, prayer, and lighting of candles in remembrance of our loved ones. Additional support and time for prayer will be available following the service.  All are welcome.

The Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township is a vibrant, multi-generational congregation that celebrates the glory of God through faith, fellowship and service. Drawing members from three counties and more than 20 communities, it welcomes all, whether you are a young family, a single adult, or a couple with grown children. The congregation reflects diverse perspectives, provides rich music and education programs for all ages, and through social outreach addresses hunger, homelessness and recovery from disasters or other crises.

First, the Board of Education deserves thanks for approving this experiment four years ago. The Athletic Director Ann Clifton and the Volleyball ...

I Reported It Myself!

Each year there seems to be more schools relying on self-reported test scores and transcripts on their applications.  While they may, in the long run, streamline the application process I’ve seen them cause a good amount of stress during this already stressful process.  Should an optional test score self-report be filled in?  How do I know whether to mark my class as a ...
