Rays of Hope Support Group

Watching someone you love struggle with alcohol or drug abuse can be painful and isolating. But there is hope and comfort in meeting with others who share a similar burden. Rays of Hope is a support group (online) for adults that is Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-led, and intended to provide hope, comfort, and a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental place where you can feel free to unburden yourself and find solace in the presence of others who understand. Each weekly group is stand-alone and you are welcome to attend at any point. The group is free and you do not have to attend Renaissance Church to attend the Rays of Hope Support Group. The first was to ...

Our children will undoubtedly impact the future of work because of the education they receive in our school system. Parallel with the future of education is technological disruption— technology is altering every industry in ...

Susan Poage is a Champion for Berkeley Heights

October 19, 2020

It was the late Senator from Minnesota, Paul Wellstone who said “We are the leaders we’ve been waiting for.” On the local level, true leaders – true champions of others –aren’t the ones who run towards the limelight. They are ordinary people like you and me, who feel compelled by the times we live in to step forward and seek to do extraordinary things and make ...

Republican for Sayre Poage Ticket

As a fiscally conservative Republican who supported the local Democrat ticket for the past two years, I am always looking for the willingness to tackle tough problems, for the out-of-the-box approaches to challenges our town faces and also real fiscal responsibility.

Three years ago, Berkeley Heights elected the first Democrat mayor since 1990, when the Council was heavily Republican as it has ...

What I most like and admire about him is the unique quality of his creativity which is well paired with a grounding in reality. When he says “let’s try this” you can be certain ...
