BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Art in the Park is coming to Berkeley Heights from 12 to 5 p.m. on Sat. May 19. Peppertown Park will be transformed into a Celebration of Art, as local and various NJ artists come together to display and sell their work. Showcasing the many talents of the artists will be an array of pottery, glass art, watercolors, acrylic fiber art, basketry, metal jewelry, printmaking, oil painting, photography prints on metal, wood, portraiture, handmade textile art, and more. Truly something for everyone.
Exhibitors will include Berkeley Heights own Miron Abramovici, Eileen Bonacci, Bob Coletta, Sue Erdreich, Karen Freudenberger, Nlhi Nguyen, Beth Ferris Sale, and Linda Tribuna. Additional exhibiting artists from all over New Jersey include Lisa Brown, Ofrat Gilady-Sten, Elissa Merkl, Bonnie O’Connor, Natalie Pas, Donna Ritter, Regina Vogler and many more.
A children’s interactive art garden will come to life, with various projects including rock art, spin art, bird house painting, sand art, chalk art, and a community art canvas.
Grain and Cane Bar and Table food truck will be offering a variety of delicious dining options.
An onsite 50/50 will take place along with raffles for donated art work from Sue Erdreich, Eileen Bonacci, Ofrat Gilady-Sten, and Beth Ferris Sale. An Art Lovers Extravaganza Grand Prize inclusive of a variety of museum and art school memberships, as well as gift cards to art supply stores will be raffled.
The Peppertown Park Renewal Committee hopes to raise funds for the restoration of Peppertown Park. The location of the park in the heart of downtown Berkeley Heights, near many restaurants and businesses, make it the ideal gathering place. The committee looks forward to creating a beautiful four season use park that will be enjoyed by the community for many years to come.
