BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The 5th Annual Berkeley Heights Winter Walk surpassed attendance from prior years making the 2019 Winter Walk an unprecedented success. “This year we planned the event during the day to encourage more families and seniors to come out” mentioned co-chair Cheri Pertessis of Anything Floral, “And that was a good idea and really contributed to the success of the 2019 Winter Walk.”

As a community-oriented event, it provides games, treats and activities for both young and old, all in the spirit of giving back to the community. Even Santa Claus came to pay a visit and was there to light the Christmas tree in the park. Check out the video montage of the event produced by the Berkeley Heights Communications Committee that highlights the crowd, the activities and the businesses that make the event possible. Hey, maybe you made the video, too.

The Winter Walk is a free event that is underwritten by the Berkeley Heights business community in gratitude to the local residents that both support their business as well as enable the Berkeley Heights downtown to be vibrant. A signature event of Berkeley Heights, it attracts residents of many neighboring towns and serves to introduce the Berkeley Heights downtown to people who may not otherwise visit. “I always felt that having the businesses provide a free event for the community is a wonderful way to create interaction between the community and the business owners, “ said co-chair Bobbie Peer of TAP Into Berkeley Heights, “Clearly, based on the  support we have seen grow over the last 5 years, it is working.”
