BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Chris Tribuna, owner of Balloon Design Studio located in Berkeley Heights, is spreading joy today along with millions of balloon artists across the globe.
Tribuna designed and created an elaborate colorful display of balloons around his front porch on Shadow Lane, which includes five 40’’ mylar balloons that read, “smile”. The design took six hours to create from inflation to installation.
“This design was inspired by one of my colleagues in Washington who created the One Million Bubbles Of Joy project. This campaign is for balloon artists all over the world to spread joy during this crazy time. Balloons spread happiness for people of all ages and I love giving back to our wonderful Berkeley Heights community,” explained Tribuna.
His project is a part of a global movement called the “One Million Bubbles of Joy” project. The website, www.onemillionbubbles.org, explains the initiative, “on March 26th, 2020 balloon designers around the world will help to fill their neighbors, towns, and cities with joy by deploying balloon art in their community. The world is changing rapidly and who better to spread joy than those who know how to create it. Nothing brings smiles to people’s faces like balloons do, and the professional balloon decorating and entertainment industry wants to help people find their smiles and joy during this challenging and frightening time we have entered”.
Tribuna warns that the display, though beautiful, is temporary as it is made with latex balloons which are made natural and biodegradable materials that do not hold up well in an outdoor environment.
