BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Strummed guitar, free food, a few foldable chairs and an icy beverage-sounds like as good a time as any you can find in Berkeley Heights. This past Wednesday the Free Concert in the Park Series kicked off with Parrot Beach festively playing the music of Jimmy Buffet -- and it certainly lived up to the hype.

Eager families showed up in droves, hurrying to find a spot to plant their chairs on the green grass and start tossing beach balls given away by Peak Medical while music blasted in the background.  An estimated crowd of 700 people enjoyed being outside on a spectacular summer evening with family and friends. The Grain and Cane food truck served their classic and popular tacos, and many helped themselves to the free popcorn provided by Taylor Rental.

The cover band, lit up by colorful changing lights and surrounded by plastic palm trees, played famous hits such as “Margaritaville” and “Brown Eyed Girl”, and had residents happily dancing along to “Fins”.
