BERKELEY HEIGHTS. NJ - Santa Claus arrived at Town Hall in a horse drawn wagon this morning to the strains of Here Comes Santa Claus, much to the delight of the crowds of children of all ages.

Mayor Angie Devanney greeted Santa and presented him with the key to the township on the steps of Town Hall.

After getting settled into his chair, Santa's elves helped the anxious children up to his chair, where they posed for photos and told Santa what they wanted for Christmas.

There were treats, including hot chocolate and candy canes, and an opportunity to buy a coveted Berkeley Heights ornament and, afterwards, take a ride in the horse drawn wagon.

Santa will return later this afternoon and visit with children at Winter Walk and help light the Christmas tree.
